Although the "UK has a generally well-established and mature framework of consumer legislation, which seeks to ensure that consumers can understand the nature of the goods and services being provided, and the standards they can expect from business", it is true to say that a large number of people find themselves on the wrong end of poor goods and services provision. They often find that trying to enforce their rights is not as simple as they expected.

The Law Centre uses Consumer Law to enable "consumers that purchase commodities or services to enforce their rights through negotiation or through the courts".

Key Benefits

  • Consumer rights preserved and protected
  • Equalising power between business and consumers
  • Better services and products for consumers
