Greenwich Community Law Centre is under threat of imminent closure following the decision of Greenwich  Council's cabinet to withdraw all funding from November 11th 2011.

We are a vital and well-used community resource, currently having more than 800 open cases.

Please sign one of our petitions at: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/greenwichlawcentre/ or at:

http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-greenwich-law-centre.html

We also have a paper version of the petition. We are asking residents of the Borough of Greenwich to write to  or email their local councillors, and hundreds have already done so. If you're not sure who they are, details can be found here.

Additionally, please contact the leader of the council, Chris Roberts and the deputy leader  Peter Brooks

We really need assistance  to run our campaign, ranging from folding and delivering leaflets to fundraising, so  please contact us if you'd like to volunteer.

For the most up-to-date  information on the campaign to save the Law Centre, you can befriend us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @GreenwichLawCtr

The Law Centre is run by a Board of Management and 7 paid members of staff  and has 11 active volunteers. We always welcome applications to join the Management Committee and/or to volunteer. Previously having worked in a legal setting is not an essential requirement. We value transferable skills, reliability and a commitment to working with community organizations.
